Kemox HPC Polymer Information
Soluble in water or a variety of polar organic solvents at room temperature, such as anhydrous methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, methylene chloride, and also soluble in acetone, chloroform and cellosolve. The solution is transparent. HPC does not agglomerate in organic solvent solutions and does not agglomerate even if the temperature is increased.
The ash content is extremely low, which makes this product have excellent adhesion. It is very stable and has good dispersibility when used as an emulsion.
HPC itself has no pharmacological effects. Non-toxic and physiologically harmless.

Kemox HPC Specifications
1. Used as a viscosity agent: In the pharmaceutical field, this product is mainly used as a binder, such as as a binder for tablets, granules, and granules. The dosage is generally 1%-5% of the five doses of the drug. Select L or J type can increase the stability of tablets, improve the hardness of tablets, and have a better dissolution time than tablets made of raw materials used as binders.
2. Used as film coating material for tablets. HPC has excellent film-forming properties. The resulting film is tough and elastic. It can be compared with plasticizers. The equilibrium moisture content is very low. By mixing with other temperature-resistant coating agents, the stability of the film can be further improved, generally choose L type.
3. Used as a thickener for solvents, an additive for lotions and a stabilizer for emulsions, M type is generally used.
4. It can be used as a matrix material to prepare matrix sustained-release tablets, sustained-release pellets and double-layer sustained-release tablets. M type is generally used.
5. When used as a gel in ethanol applications and as an ointment base, M type is generally used.
